The company Friends Veneer & Ply was the outcome of the vision of two friends, Mr. Ajith Prasad and Mr. Isha Prasad Alva, who after 2 decades of experience in the timber industry wanted to create a company that added value to the high quality timber sourcing connections they had developed in India, Myanmar, Indonesia, Malaysia & Vietnam.
The best way to add value to timber is to create a product that will reach consumer homes directly and quickly. Thus they envisaged a branded plywood and Veneers manufacturing facility at Baikampady, Mangalore that will cater to the rapidly growing Indian market with a generation of consuming millennials with a flair for nothing but the best.

The company was established in the year 2013 as a partnership firm. Our product-range includes Gurjan face veneer, different types of plywood, flush doors, laminated flooring, hardwood flooring , wall cladding, wall panels, step boards & Merbau sizes (Koila). Our company has been able to satisfy our valued customers for years by providing them high quality range of products as per their demands and specifications.

FRIENDS PLY is manufactured from Gurjan Wood, a timber which combines special durable properties and gives enduring finishing to all applications. Gurjan Wood is specifically used because of its known properties of resilience and high tensile strength which makes it the right input raw material for manufacture of resilient plywood of unmatched quality. Plywood is an engineered wood product, and has many varied applications. It is most commonly used for making the furniture that we use in our homes and offices, and also for other applications such as in building construction, and for doing the woodwork in Interior works.
Process
The manufacturing process is supervised by a team of experts who monitors its quality standards at every stage. The finished products are tested in a well equipped laboratory for water resistance, moisture content, tensile strength and mycological test.
